If you receive an error message similar to the one pictured above, it’s likely that Audacity isn’t installed properly on your Apple Mac computer. Follow these instructions to resolve the issue.
- Delete (or move) your current Audacity program icon found in Applications.
- Download the latest version of Audacity.
- Expand the DMG file.
- Click and drag the entire Audacity folder into Applications. This contains help files and other files such as the Nyquist files that are required for operation.
- Also, be sure to also install the Lame encoder for saving to MP3 format.
